We enjoyed our 'day of rest' today. No school made for a great morning to mix up a batch of Chocolate Chip Belgium waffles! Joshua was my helper this morning and he happily sliced the fresh strawberries as we started cooking up the waffles.

We found a Hello Kitty waffle maker in the cupboard, so we made some of those for Sarah!!
Joshua enjoyed his "creation" - quite a tasty mess! :)
After breakfast, we cleaned up & got out to the Alliance Church for morning service. The service was held in a realtor's building. They have a very small congregation - maybe 30 or 40, but after the service we were greeted by so many people and made connections with the Awana teacher (the kids are ready to attend this Wednesday) and got a number to call to get the kids involved in the homeschoolers association here. It was great!!
The boys went for a swim, we had a great family game of Settlers of Catan, munched a little & simply enjoyed our day :)
