We had a great day today. School ran into the afternoon as we figured it would for this week, then some pool time, games, some supper, a round of Settlers of Catan, then the kids stayed up to munch popcorn & watch Survivor with me :)
David called to let us know it was SNOWING and STICKING to the ground up in Fort Mac. He's pretty chilly working out there in the dark & freezing temperatures. Brrrr. I dare not complain then that I thought the pool was a little chilly today! :)
We had creatures in our backyard today...
First off was this ENORMOUS flying bug. This photo doesn't do it justice as to its size. It was as large as a dragonfly but with a much thicker body. Joshua scared it up into the palm tree and we ran into the house!

We were pretty excited to spot a road-runner IN our backyard! We snapped a bunch of photos before he noticed us and ran off.Then, one of my favorite "creatures".... took a deep breath and jumped off the waterfall level into the chilly water below, the series of photos below:

"COOL" pictures Joshua - looks like you really enjoy the pool. Miss you guys. I so appreciate new pictures and updates everyday - it helps me not miss you quite as much. Our house seems awfully quiet these days, and Bentley miss you too.
