Day 22 - Awana night

David called to let us know he landed safely in Fort McMurray - ahhh.... always thankful for that! He went on to tell us that snowflakes were drifting down from the sky! A shock to his system - I dare not complain that it was *only* 29C here today!!
Today we focused on getting a lot of schooling done. We're going to work hard this week as we'll take nearly a week off for Disneyland and I know school time will be less while Grandma & Grandpa Gray are here. We're so excited about their visit.
The kids were thrilled to see Daddy had written a note on the white board... Sarah had to take a picture of it -- and of course I wasn't allowed to erase it so we had to work around his note :) yes.... it's still on there!
After an early supper, a fellow we met at the church on Sunday (Jim) came and picked us up for Awana Club. His last name was Vander-something and the kids thought he was a lot like Grandpa V (with driving/picking us up*smiles*) Joshua also said he was like Grandpa because he was so organized :) He was in charge of games (and has been for the last 25 years!!) so he picked us up a bit earlier and we were able to lend a hand & help him set up.
Kids helped set up the lights as all the games are played outside. He said once, maybe twice a year they will be forced indoors due to rain/wind.
Joshua re-chalking the circle.
Sarah helping & rethinking the long-sleeved shirt! :)
